Description
The Anthropology & Sociology Program wanted to create space to celebrate and affirm our queer community through making a community quilt. We hosted an evening of solidarity and community care during which attendees designed one or more squares on this quilt. The idea was to reflect in material form—as a quilt does by its nature--the strength, determination, beauty, and vibrancy of our queer community and allies. Elizabeth Bowling sewed the entire thing together in one evening. We had a wonderful time in solidarity and community with one another.
